February 18, 2025
At Verve our Science, Humanised approach has created some amazing positive reactions. Today we’re excited to showcase one of our humans behind the unique science communications we create.
In the latest episode of Verve’s ‘Science, Humanised’ podcasts , we chat with Ross Kennedy, Account Manager at Verve, to discuss his journey into healthcare communications. From leaving the world of labs to working on award nominated HCP campaigns, Ross shares his experiences, challenges, and excitement for the future of our industry.
Ross’s journey began with a passion for biology, but he quickly realised lab work wasn’t for him.
During his final year, he discovered health communications, a field where he could combine his love for science with his passion for creativity.
His first project? Writing a children’s book about malaria, which ignited his passion for making complex scientific concepts more accessible.
After exploring the industry, Ross found his way to Verve, where he immediately connected with the team’s creativity and passion.
Over the past year, he’s been part of groundbreaking campaigns, including projects in colonoscopy preparation and Parkinson’s disease awareness. While colonoscopy prep might not sound glamorous, Ross found the challenge exciting and met it head on“It’s a saturated market, so we had to refine every detail.”
His work has earned a prestigious award nomination for the Product Promotion category at this year’s PM Society Awards and also travelled to Berlin for a major campaign launch and symposium.
As Ross reflects on his first year, he’s excited about the future, particularly the role of AI in healthcare communications. Whether it’s AI-assisted diagnosis or increased patient engagement, he believes digital innovation will transform the industry.
Beyond work, Ross has also embraced the social culture at Verve. From team Christmas parties and summer sports day to wine tastings and group pub trips, he’s enjoyed every moment.
When asked about his favourite colleague, Ross’s answer was a testament to his personality. We won’t reveal who this is – watch the full interview above to find out…
Who are we?
Science has the power to change the world – but only if people connect with it. Facts alone aren’t enough; they need context, emotion, and meaning to truly make an impact. At Verve, a health communications agency, we believe that science should be more than just understood, it should inspire action. That’s why we developed Science, humanised, an approach that transforms complex data into communication that resonates. We don’t just translate scientific information; we create stories that resonate, inspire, and empower. Because when science is told with clarity and emotion, it drives real change.
In a fast-moving world, where breakthroughs happen every day, how we communicate science matters. It’s not just about accuracy…it’s about connection. We bridge the gap between facts and feelings, between research and real life. Through strategic storytelling, we ensure that every scientific insight is accessible, relevant, and impactful.
Because science doesn’t exist in isolation. It’s a conversation – one that requires curiosity, creativity, and, most importantly, a human touch.
Let’s make science more than knowledge, let’s make it meaningful. Let’s start the conversation.
